At Vobelle, every piece is created with a slow, intentional process that’s the opposite of fast fashion.
My work begins by spinning my own yarn, which involves twisting multiple strands of fine merino wool together. This allows me to create a sturdy yet soft cable yarn and gives me the flexibility to adjust the thickness, twist angle, and color to suit the personality of each piece.
Once the yarn is ready, I either knit by hand, or use a vintage Brother knitting machine, which is hand-operated and lets me work at my own pace.
After knitting, each item is gentle washed with wool wash soap, blocked, and let to air dry. This finishing process allows the wool to settle into its final form, ready to be worn and cherished.
